queer and rebel week will happen for the second time this summer from June 24 - 29 with workshops,
actions, events and parties. queer and rebel is self organised, DIY and spontaneous.

we encourage everyone to get involved, and there are so many ways you can do this. If you would
like to take on a responsibility or just help out with something email us at schwarzer-kanal@web.de

our final preparation meeting will be on monday june 23rd at 19:00 at schwarzer kanal. There will be
two preparation days to get the space and wagons ready on monday june 23nd and
tuesday june 24th from 12:00

when you arrive at schwazer kanal during queer and rebel week there will be an info-wagon where
you can find out what is going on where and how you can get involved. queer and rebel is self
organised, DIY and spontaneous. You are encouraged not to just consume but to contribute!

have a tent please bring it! If you have any special requirements, or if you need a place in a

DIY performance workshop(wednesday 25.06 from 12:00): (english translation follows)
"performance als queer-feministische aktionsform?
performance als alltagspraxis?
performances für die Bühne?

ihr sprüht über vor tollen ideen und wißt sie bloß nicht umzusetzen? oder euch will einfach kein
kreativer einfall gelingen, aber ihr wolltet euch schon immer mal performativ in szene setzen?
in unserem workshop würden wir euch gerne dabei begleiten ideen zu sammeln und umzusetzen,
gemeinsam über verscheidene formen von performances nachdenken, kritisch die queere
popstarskultur in den blick rücken u. a...
ganz gleich ob ihr euch dafür entscheidet auf die bühne zu klettern oder euch auf eine der
einschlägigen berliner einkaufsmeilen begeben wollt, ob ihr in gruppen oder einzeln performen
möchtet, tanzen, singen, dichten, schweigen oder wütend durch die straßen rennen wollt, wir
versuchen euch dabei zu unterstützen eure kleinen performances zu entwickeln, kostüme zu
basteln, choreographien zu erfinden, den adrenalinspiegel zu senken und was sonst noch so
anfällt. im anschluß an den workshop werden eure ideen, sofern ihr möchtet, umgesetzt.

dieser workshop richtet sich nicht an profis sondern in erster linie an alle, die lust haben etwas
auszuprobieren, sich selbst nicht so ernst nehmen und interesse haben einen kompletten tag
mit theatralischem (un)sinn zu füllen.

wenn möglich bringt bitte folgende dinge mit: audio cd´s mit musik zu der ihr performan möchtet,
kostüme oder solche, die es noch werden wollen (nadel, faden, klebeband, buttons, tücher,
plastiktüten, klopapier oder was euch so einfällt), requisiten, pappe, stifte, kleber, scheren, haare,
rasseln, besen, bürsten, make-up, holzpferde, taucherbrillen, fingerfarbe etc. ...
der workshop wird deutschsprachig gehalten, wir versuchen ihn aber auf englisch zu übersetzen."

*Explore performance from a queer/feminist perspective, as a way to express yourself politically,
on stage and in your every day life. Whether you want to be a star of the stage or just create a
scene whilst shopping with your girlfriend, this workwhop will help you gather your ideas and turn
them into something special. What to bring - ideas and enthusiasm, music you would like to perform
to, costumes or acessories like needles, thread, sequins and buttons, cloth, fake fur, plastic bags,
tin foil and bog roll. This workshop will be in german though we will try to provide english

subversive femme discussion - queer femininity in life and performance

Was verstehen wir unter Femininit ät? Was bedeutet es als „weiblich“ identifiziert zu werden?
Sexualisiert zu werden? Als Frau diskriminiert zu sein? Wie arbeitet es sich als
Femme/Frau/Lady in der heteronormativen Welt? In welchem Verhältnis stehen queer und
femininität? Wie werden sie auf der Bühne dargestellt? How do heteronormative beauty and youth
standards affect our desires and life? Wie wird femininität/weiblichkeit in Drag Shows verhandelt?
What is (gender) performance? Subversive Taktiken? Femme-Top bitch? Sweet blackbloc girl ? The
Lady is a Vamp? Gender-switcher? How to get older when you are feminine? How to fight in
High-Heels? Sind Androgynität und Maskulinität die Schönheitsideale der Queerszene? Geht das
mit einer Abwertung von als feminin bezeichneten einher oder bleibt es davon unberührt? Welche
Folgen hat ein gesellschaftlicher Schlankheits-, Jugend-, Sauberkeits- Wahn auf eigene Konzepte
von Begehren und Schönheit? Sexism in the queerscene? Invisible Femme? Are masculine and
androgynous the beautystandards of the queer scene? What is queer femininity? Submissive
Lady? How do femmes/women/ladies work in a heteronormative society? How can we support each other? Femininitätskonzepte in unterschiedlichen Kulturen und Szenen. How can we subvert genderstereotypes?

express yourself! An introduction in street art stencil techniques. Bring your own shirts, pants,
trousers, g-strings, caps or whatever you want and lets customise them together then use them to
paint the town red or whatever colour you choose. BACK TO TOP

Trans people in separatist spaces discussion ( wednesday 25.06 from 21:00)
this workshop is open to all genders. After the workshop there will be a jam session, bar and social

Wir wollen eine kurze Einführung zur "Party"-Soundtechnik geben.
Also: Endstufen, Mischpult, Boxen und CD-Player zusammenschliessen und verstehen, wie es
funktioniert....Max 8 leute. Also seid pünklich um nicht enttäuscht zu werden.

*Learn how to opporate a party PA including the mixing desk, speakers, amp and how to plug them
all together. Sorry, but the workshop is limited to 8 people so please arrive early to avoid

Somehow, big corporations manage to train us believe that the only way to feel love is by buying
things and the best way to be free is to consume. advertisements brain wash us and make us
the rich´s slaves and to pay for it all we must work like donkies.
The damage is critical.
We work to buy more and fill the world with trash that destroys our environment and future. We
give the rich money so they can build more shopping centres and bigger billboards – to make us
all better trained for the next shopping journey. Don’t be a trained puppy.

Anti-racist action day (friday 27.06 from 12:00) (english traslation follows)
15-18h: „antirassistische Kundhebung“ am „Rathaus Neukölln“ mit Reden, offenem Mikrofon, der 
Sambaband..... Es  geht über das Thema „Bundesdeutsche Flüchtlingspolitik und ihre  tödliche 
Folgen“, mit einem Hauptschwerpunkt zur Situation von Frauen  und Kindern. Wir berichten über 
die Auswirkungen des staatlichen und  gesellschaftlichen Rassismus auf die Betroffenen. Auf 
Flüchtlinge, die  gehofft hatten, in diesem Land Schutz und Sicherheit zu finden, und 
 letztendlich an diesem System zugrunde gingen oder zu Schaden kamen. 
Durch  staatliche Maßnahmen der BRD kamen seit 1993 mindestens 370 Flüchtlinge  ums Leben.
 Durch rassistische Übergriffe und Brände in  Flüchtlingsunterkünften starben 81 Menschen.
Aber es wird auch über Kämpfe und Widerstand von Flüchtlingen gegen das rassistische System 
berichtet.Am „offenen Mikrofon“ können während der Kundgebung Flüchtlinge und Migrant_innen 
über ihre Erfahrungen berichten.Es gibt französische/ englische/ türkische/ deutsche/ und DGS

this day  is about German asylum policy and its deadly consequences, with a focus on the situation of 
women and children. We will explain about the consequences of governmental and social racism
for refugees who had hoped to find shelter and saftey in this country -  and who in the end 
perished in this system or suffered from it. Since 1993, 370 refugees have died as a result of 
measures taken by the German Federal Republic. 81 people died through racist attacks and fires
 in refugees accommodation. There will also be information about refugees' resistance against 
the racist system. The open mic is an opportunity for people to come and tell about their 
experiences as refugees and migrants. We have a french/ english/ turkish/ german /and DGS

Living in queer communities discussion (sunday 29.06 from 14:00) (english version follows)
oft scheint es so, als wenn es bei queer nur um individualistisches experimentieren 
mit gendercodes geht. 
wieso gibt es in berlin eigentlich sowenig queere gemeinschaften?
wir jedenfalls vermissen das und moechten mit euch ueber das leben in gemeinschaften reden.
wenn leute von ihren erfahrungen in kollektiven oder kommunen erzaehlen. 
ausserdem stellt sich die queer-feministische gemeinschaft vor, ein bundesweites netzwerk von 
kommuneinteressierten.

*it often seems like being queer is about being individualistic and experimenting with your own 
gender identity. why are there so few queer communities in berlin?
We'd like to think about why and exchange experiences and lessons learned from living in 
queer colletives and communties. A german based queer feminist community network will also
